HTC Singers – Songs from the Musicals

HTC SINGERS 2015
Many thanks to everyone who attended and was involved in making our latest concert on 28th June 2015 a singing success. We celebrated and sang a selection of songs from the musicals we’ve performed over the last 20 years of Horfield Theatre Companies history.

We raised £135.50 from a raffle, heads and tails collection and cake sales which will be donated to BRACE, a charity that funds research into Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

The Canterbury Tales – Tickets now on Sale

CanterburyTalesPoster

Join us as we listen to tales from the Knight, the Nuns’ Priest, the Wife of Bath and the Miller as the pilgrims liven up their journey to Canterbury with tales of lust, rivalry, conceit and more. You might even discover the secret of what women really want….

But be warned, in the words of Chaucer himself… “Those who are for high morals and good taste should be gone. Depart. Away. Make haste”…

Stages_of_WarStages of War

By Lynn Brittney and Alan Marshall

29 October – 1 November 2014

In remembrance of the start of “the war to end all wars” one hundred years ago, HTC presents three one-act plays offering a glimpse into those dark times and the people from every walk of life who had no choice but to go to war.

The discovery of a mass grave for Australian soldiers killed at the battle of Fromelles and the work using contemporary science to identify them inspires a detective story in ‘Dig for the Diggers’. ‘Grandma’s Photograph’ looks at the war’s impact on family life and ‘After the Ball is Over’ takes us to the outset of the Great War and how people and relationships are changed forever.  Even in the grandest of families.
