Horfield Theatre Company

Our first performance in February 1996 was the 70's rock musical "Godspell" performed at our home theatre to packed houses receiving sparkling reviews. The group was invited to reprise this inaugural production at Bristol Cathedral six months later. High levels of energy and commitment remained with many members of the original cast and production team; thus was born Horfield Theatre Company.

In line with our constitution we delight in providing our membership opportunities to develop their performing talents and backstage crafts.

More importantly, we are about enjoying drama.

We aim to stage at least one major production every year and have successfully performed a wide range of musicals and plays. In addition we stage regular entertainment, and our members have enjoyed variety shows, youth productions, open air Shakespeare, Murder Mystery evenings, One Act Plays and readings. We have also staged productions at the Alma Theatre, Clifton; The Redgrave Theatre; the QEH theatre and Wells Cathedral.

Horfield Theatre Company is continually growing and evolving, so now that you’ve found us, why not get in touch to find out even more. We’re always eager to welcome new people, so whether you want to get involved in front of an audience or you’d prefer to join in backstage, there’s a place for you to put your talents to great use. We organise a wide variety of activities, from musicals, plays, work shops, and of course lots of social events.
